"Boldly embarked upon the troubled waters of European diplomacy" (*)

.....We do not pretend to assert that, during the assembly of the Council, those who held the threads of affairs in their hands had calculated upon the approaching Franco-German war, an event which Professor Friedrich, in his 'Diary of the Council, says was then talked of in Rome, at a time when no one in Germany thought of war; but the following circumstances deserve consideration. One of the leaders of the Ultramontane party in Germany, Dr. Moufang of Mayence, now member of the Reichstag, uttered, at the general meeting of the Catholic Unions at Innsbruck, in 1867, these remarkable words: 'As God does not always send miraculous help, the Church stands in need of worldly assistance; and to afford this there are only two great Catholic nations, France and Austria.

My belief therefore is that, if it is God's will to save us from the waters of the Revolution, the Noah's Ark will be built of Austrian timber.'

An ark to be built in the shipyard of Mayerling?

................

Since that fateful winter day in 1889, more than a century ago, much has been said, speculated and written about the deaths at Mayerling. Speculation has pointed to political intrigues, unspeakable love affairs, and international conspiracies. Yet the great mystery surrounding the death of Crown Prince Rudolf and Baroness Marie Vetsera still remains after more than a century. The last Austrian Empress, Zita, who died in 1989, once said she believed Rudolf had been the victim of an international political conspiracy engineered by Georges Clemenceau, the French Prime Minister. Zita did not believe that with such a promising life ahead of him, Crown Prince Rudolf would have chosen suicide under any circumstances. Zita alleged that Clemenceau was conspiring to overthrow Franz Joseph and place germanophobe Rudolf on the throne. This would allow Austria to break away from her allegiance to Germany and sign an alliance with France. Rudolf, Zita believed, refused to partake in the conspiracy and was killed to secure his silence.

.........

The old Empress Zita's observations on Mayerling were founded on several disturbing facts. These were also an echo of the many speculations freely roaming around Viennese court circles after the death of Rudolf. On February 9, 1889, the German Ambassador in Vienna sent a missive to Berlin in which he reported a conversation with the Papal Nuncio, Monsignor Luigi Galimberti, and the Habsburg Court Chaplain, Monsignor Lorenz Mayer. During this conversation, the officious ambassador reported, the two well-informed prelates expressed their serious doubts concerning the official version of the events at Mayerling.

Or maybe Rudolph, dreaming a revenge for the 1866 defeat, was killed just to instigate the father to declare war to Germany or at least to approach France? In any case nuncio Galimberti was playing the fool. Because Rudolph was the only son of Franz Josef I of Austria.....

.......

During the most acute phase of the imperialist competition, the limits coming from the European powers to the free exercise of the Vatican diplomacy were real and heavy. The central question of the European chancellor's offices at the moment when a pontifical prime minister had to be appointed, was the same all along the reign of Leo XIII. The new Secretary of the State is pro German or pro France? Is he expression of a policy approaching to France or to the Central empires? The crossed fire of the European powers on the Vatican, which culminated with the terrible veto of 1903 against the election of Rampolla, practically lasted for all the period before the start of the first world conflict, transforming every Vatican appointment in a casus belli (latin, it means “excuse to declare war” – avles), ready to unhinge the system of alliances on the European chessboard. Many pressures proceeded the veto expressed in the Conclave of 1903 by cardinal Puzyna in the name of Austria and of its allies in the Triple (alliance, the one Austria-Germany-Italy – avles) against the powerful State Secretary of Leo XIII (cardinal Rampolla del Tindaro, former state secretary and candidate for the succession of Leo XIII, blocked by Austrian veto in 1903 – avles). It is sufficient to think to the French reaction exhibited during the vacancy originated by the death of Ludovico Jacobini, when between February and June 1887 various circumstantial evidences were signalizing in the European capitals a possible appointment of Luigi Galimberti at the charge of State Secretary. It is sufficient to think to the proposal aired by the government of the third republic to break in the August 1886 the diplomatic relations with the Holy See if she would have not annulled the choice as nuncio in Peking of Antonio Agliardi, considered by Paris a clergy man hostile to France.

............

..A significant example of the realistic action of the office of the State Secretary during the reign of pope Pecci (Leo XIII – avles), was that progressive approach to the Slav Orthodox world, which should be culminated with the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Russia and Vatican, occurred with the appointment of Alexander Petrovitch Iswolsky in 1894. Disliked by Austria as well by Germany, the Russian policy of Leo XIII was a judicious politic built on the little steps, which had to get over conflicting nationalisms, imbued by pan-slavism and pan-germanism, and thorny questions, as the one related to the Catholicism in the Balkans. The dream of Leo XIII of a coming back to the formula of unum ovile et unus pastor (One sheepfold and One pastor – avles) as regard the relations with the Russian Orthodoxy would have soon become for Vienna and Berlin the nightmare of a possible re-definition of the continental alliances, which would have constrained the central empires in a condition of exposition towards the East.

....”.

From “Il Papato e l'Europa”/”The papacy and Europe”, page 338 – 339, Luciano Trincia, chapter “Leone XIII, la politica Vaticana e il Gabinetto segreto dei Perugini”).

Galimberti was in relation with the “German core”, a group of clergy man in the Vatican which was the true soul of the Leo XIII international policy, operating beyond the official State Secretary. With this “German core” the papacy of Leo XIII started particular relations with Germany and Prussia. Galimberti was nuncio in Vienna during the Mayerling affaire. The fact that was not properly loved by the French power, it could have been a good curtain in order to hide a French-Vatican common interest in the death of the only heir of Franz Joseph....

.....here some 'ruminations' about a possible incoming false flag attack in Berlin (sorry, CIA and Kolvenbach didn't tell me if they'll use explosive airplanes or deadly gas, so I try the investigate at least the world environment).

Two alternatives:

1) The usual version: they are preparing to destroy Syria (and Iran, etc.)

2) My view: Syria is cleaning (using as alibi the rioters) the inner country from the "dangerous element" having in sight a very delicate phase of the WDG life. Jesuit trained Mario "Tetzel" Draghi is going to become the chief clerk for the Central Indulgences Office of Europe ("European Central bank"); Germany is in liquidation (for example see the Escherichia Community affair, the infection in France by German Lidl, the liquidation of the nuclear German power implants etc.); the Kremlin, with the most of probability, must substitute, as leading role in Eurasia, Germany. Hence Germany is a country no more necessary to the (un) -Holy See after the enlargement from Ireland to the Straits of Bering. This colossal theological, religious and ideological earthquake, like the physical ones, is moving zones of the human world sphere very distant from the epicenter (Rome, Berlin, Moscow);
Don't worry if the acquittal of Moscow to the Libyan NATO terrorist bombings could be considered the price paid for a Moscow denial to intervention in Syria. Of course also China opposed, because China will see Rome openly and directly bordering her borders till Kamchatka. Russia will have enormous power and must find an agreement with the bordering Islamic galaxy. No worry if they will try a Big One in Berlin (or similar, "Zionist Al Qaeda" against the "righteous" appointment of a Jesuit trained Draghi, "Zionism" exploiting the financial and economical crisis,.... ).

And here an interesting news from April. Relating this world earthquake. I was instigated by a today article on Il Piccolo daily of Trieste. Jesuit Bishop of Aleppo is today in Venice, by his friend Scola (the one very 'appreciated' on The Unhived Mind), for a meeting: "Middle East: going where? new laicity and unexpected events from Africa" (approximative quick translation of mine). Chaldean bishop Audo deeply criticizes the Sunnis and defends the govt. of Assad (see the Constantine brotherhood membership of Assad). He fears a mass escape of the 'Christians' from Syria. With him agrees also the patriarch of Alexandria of Egypt (*) (pushing Coptic people to accept pope under the threat of "Islamic violence"? Using the "terrorism of Sunnis" as baton?). He added that Christians and Muslims today in Egypt "are united" (Roman Catho-Islamic steel pact?). In any case, to unify North Eurasia under Rome's rule, it created a world wide earthquake (911, Afghanistan, I mean also the first one of Soviet invasion, etc.). Logical that Germany and Amber Path are destined to the be thrown in the history discharge:

Bishop Audo: Syrian Christians Support President Assad

The Caldean Bishop of Aleppo, Antoine Audo.

(Milan) - The international community is exaggerating the crisis in Syria which has been staged mainly by outsiders, according to Bishop Antoine Audo, the Chaldean Bishop of Aleppo. The Jesuit who has been bishop of the diocese since 1992, spoke with Terrasanta.net April 27th about his concerns over the protests, but stressed that Syria is no Iraq and that President Bashar Assad remains popular, also among Christians. On Wednesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least 453 civilians have so far been killed during almost six weeks of demonstrations. The UN Human Rights Council will hold a special session on Friday to discuss the military crackdown.

Your Excellency, what is the situation like in Aleppo, and what are your reflections on the current situation in Syria as a whole?
Currently, Aleppo is very calm and very normal. The people of Aleppo have shown themselves to be very wise people. They don't want the destruction of the country. We believe in the possibility of reform, as the president and the government are doing. So this is the situation. We have been surprised to discover that in the international media there is an exaggeration of the situation. It's not objective information [being transmitted] but manipulation of the information. Generally the Syrian people are very calm. They understand the situation and are able to analyse it. They don't want the destruction of our country, as they saw happen in Iraq and other countries.

So you wouldn't say the situation was similar to the uprising in Egypt?
No, Syria is a very different country. There is diversity here and education – the people are well informed, even if there are some problems. But this [crisis] will finish in some days, we hope.

Do you think President Assad will be able to stay in power?
I think so. He's a very loved man, young and well educated, and he's working in the interests of Syria. Syria is not a perfect country – as all countries [in the Middle East], we have had difficulties with the international and economic situation. But I think he [Assad] is doing very well and wants to serve the interests of Syria. He's defending our country with great dignity.

Some have made comparisons between Libya and Syria, saying that Syria could be the next country to see some kind of international military intervention. Could this happen?
I don't think so. It's very difficult on account of the level of education, of openness. They [the international community] don't know what Syria is like. As I said, there's great ethnic and religious diversity here. Secondly, there's a sense of patriotism. The Syrian people love their country. We are not like Libya, a tribal society. In Libya, for instance, there's practically no Christian presence. Here, 10 percent of the population are Christians and all are with President Assad. I'd say 90 percent of Syrians are with the president. Those who are making trouble are coming from outside. They have their own interests and are being pushed. They have taken money from abroad to serve foreign interests.

Is Islamism a risk to the country?
Perhaps, yes. It's very easy to manipulate such a kind of extremist group by other groups. But as I said, 90 percent of the population loves our president, government, and has done for 30-40 years. In Syria one can make a positive assessment: we have universities, good education. We have the problem of a large number of youth with diplomas from university who need work, but that's the problem of the economy. I believe this crisis will be resolved in the months ahead.

But what are your views on reports of the crackdown on protesters by security forces?
I think it's been done out of self defence. Up until now they [the security forces] hadn't attacked anyone, but after a month of killing police and soldiers, and destroying official institutions, I think the police have the right to defend themselves, but only to act in self defence, not to attack and kill people. We can say that with objectivity.

Yet instead of the violent suppression of protesters, wouldn't it be better to make Syria fully democratic?
Yes, but that needs time. Every country has his own way of democracy. We heard a lot about democracy and freedom from the U.S. in Iraq, and we see now the results of U.S. democracy and freedom in Iraq – how the country came to be destroyed. And the first to lose were the Christians of Iraq. We must say that, what the U.S. did in Iraq, we don't want repeated in Syria. They have to understand this reality.

Geographically it is a single continent,[1] comprising the traditional continents of Europe and Asia (with Eurasia being a portmanteau of the two); the concepts of Europe and Asia as distinct continents date back to antiquity and their borders are geologically arbitrary. Eurasia, in turn, is part of the yet larger landmass of Afro-Eurasia, whereby Eurasia is joined to Africa at the Isthmus of Suez.

Continuing trumpeting Jesuitical deceptions?

No, he hated Serbs not for hobby, but because not reciprocated by them in his political vision of relations between the empires, the Orthodox one (Russia), and the Roman Catholic one (Hapsburg).

Serbia – I mean the elite of it – was completely dragged inside the dreams of power and ambition, cultivated for all long the second half of XIX by the diplomacy of Rome. Think only to those Romish priests roaming in the end of XIX century in Serbia, and I mean not the land or the streets of cities and villages, but the the offices of Serbian ministers. To imagine a punishment – by the Austrian side – against the Orthodox Serbs and then to avoid to settle the score with Mother Russia, is a pure sign of mind illness, because the same Calvinist Hohenzollern would have been preoccupied, seriously preoccupied, about the fate of their dreams of Balkan expansion, suddenly disturbed by an eventual Hapsburg crown gone made.... and forced to say bye bye to the railroad-project "Berlin-Istanbul"...... Unfortunately in the Hapsburg minds there was, all along that ending century, still great traces of health (think only to the answer in front of the murder of the heir to the throne, Rudolph, evidently who counted in the palace of Wien understood that the assassin was performed in order to put hate between Vienna and Berlin....). Therefore Rome had to fatigue the Hercules fatigues in order to arise hate between Belgrade and Vienna.

Ok, with the age of Leo XIII, Serbia was the "round-table" of confrontation between Moscow and Wien. But such confrontation leaved a third subject outside the door of the important international scenery. A true offense, as “international” is also synonymous of “universal”! For this reason, to enter again in the game, it required to subtract that geographical and religious table from the control of those two empires. In other words: it required to control the object of the relations between both imperial crowns, the control of Serbia. Question: which was the third 'empire'? Answer: it was the Roman Catholic empire of the pope. The re-unification between the Russian secessionist (schismatic) province of that empire, with the Mother house in saint Peter square, requested - with no alternative - to disintegrate the box (Russian crown) where that schismatic province was living, a provocative oasis of blissful couldn't care less attitude respect the anxious requests of unity launched by the 'divine' emperor of Rome.

The ascertainment for which you cannot disintegrate the Russian empire without to be constrained to robust similar modification also in the bordering Old Continent, led to what we know under the term "First World Conflict" (which buried inside the history's grave another universalism, the one of the Ottoman empire). No worry if that war started from Serbia, because Serbia was the religious zip connecting together those four examples of secular universalism (the four “empires”), four kind of secular universalism which, for their inner nature, were only enemies of the Roman universalism.

Therefore we can conclude that it is just today that the anti-German spin, (practically a form of fear for the ghosts in the castles), need to be increased, as the re-unification wished by our bishop Strossmayer is near the corner, and with all the troubles it will arise, surely it is dragging that vague sensation that it couldn't be implemented in else way than with a good Roman Catholic toast in the cemetery of the Eurasian empires.

(An observation about the below excerpt: the support of the political idea for a federation of the Slavic people, maybe with an autonomous crown, at the guise of the Hungarian crown, as constitutive part of the Hapsburg empire, more to be the usual disguise of the plans of death for Hapsburg empire, it was also and moreover a powerful way in to instigate the Balkan Slav nationalism against the centralism of Vienna. The priests of Rome know how to praise you meanwhile, under their cloaks, they have ready their poniards...):

"......Politically Strossmayer was a champion for the appreciation of the Slavic peoples in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and a federation of all South Slavic peoples (Illyrism) under Habsburg leadership. For this reason he was, from the side of the Church, for an approach of the Catholic Church to the Orthodox Church and sought a unified Slavic liturgy for Croats and Serbs. Was modeled for him as Catholics, including the well-groomed in Dalmatia Slavonic rite. Strossmayer active supporter for the Union with the Russian Orthodox Church, as the leading church of the Slavic Orthodox churches, without which there were no political conditions. The First Vatican Council in Rome, he fought against the newly introduced long time dogma of papal infallibility, as it represented an obstacle to the talks with the Orthodox Union.

F*** protestant Scandinavia?

>

Yesterday I was reading the daily Slovenske Novice when I run into an article related on Sweden. As Sweden is Protestant, with a Protestant (and moreover Lutheran) crown, and the article was issued in the Romish Slovenia (a country with a Protestant (Lutheran) past to be erased), immediately my interest was arisen by the argument, which was dealing on the sex scandals of the king Gustav, who seems to be an habitué of the commercial sex. My mind never for a second was blocked by the thought "revenge for the pedophilia scandal", because when the Koenigsberg was disintegrated by Jesuit trained Stalin, there were no pedophile scandals in the air which would have suggested an apocalyptic destruction at the guise of diversion:

Scandal of Carl Gustaf: The king and the sleazy pictures

Posted on 21 May 2011.

Tags: bodyguard, carl gustaf, confidant, crime boss, crowns, daniel webb, escapades, head of state, job offer, king carl xvi gustaf, markovic, milan sevo, naked girls, professional criminals, scandals, strip clubs, swedish king, wild parties

The scandals at the Swedish King Carl XVI. Gustaf go another round. Obviously there are friends with underworld contacts – and sleazy gangster pictures in hand.

After it was reported last November in a book of wild parties and escapades of Head of State, Swedish reporters have now found evidence that friends asked the king professional criminals for help to stop further revelations. As we were on Friday, as well as photos of visits of the king are circulating in strip clubs.

The images are owned by Mille Markovic, a criminal, who ran a strip club earlier in Stockholm.
There is the book “The Reluctant Monarch”, according to Carl Gustaf are also pleased. Markovic was one of the main sources for the book that caused headlines worldwide last year.
.......................

.............................

This is also suggested in a new book on the Serbian-Swedish crime boss Milan Sevo, which appears in those days. It describes how the king’s friends tried in November to bring Markovic’s images in their possession. ........"

Please take not that in Sweden the law on the prostitution is very heavy and such scandal is deeply upsetting the public opinion....

Then my mind went on the recent visit in Slovenia of the Norway crown - another rest of that old Lutheran world, visit occurred some weeks ago. Again I perceived the sense of the "EU enlargement", a finely calibrated devouring of religiously not aligned countries with the finality of increase the Roman Catholic political weight in the central institutions, of course not at the expenses of the Buddhists or Scientology, but of the remaining Reform in the old continent (and of the Schismatic Orthodoxies). A low level pressure, accompanied by scandals, economical opportunities, underground blackmails, working exactly like that famous poison spread on the pages of the medieval book in that movie inspired by the Jesuitical best-seller of Umberto Eco. Or, if you prefer another image, to get the dynamic concept of this dirty Romish war, think to an immense dry dock, this infamous EU, with an enormous dam from where, without warning the 'heretic' inhabitants of that basin, the colossal waters (“enlargement”) of the Roman Catholicism are poured, constraining them to live in ever more little island on top of hills, till the disappearing.....:

Seventeen minutes
meeting of three Slovenian journalists with the Norwegian King Harald V. and his wife Queen Sonja in the royal palace in Oslo three days before their visit to Slovenia was enough to confirm the position of the Norwegians about the "popular" King, who has run his life and behavior of moving a few milestones in order to delete at least part of the dividing lines between "aristocrats"and the people......"

All that smells of "liquidation of the last rests of Lutheran Protestantism" in Europe, maybe with the intention to have the hands free when starting the next step of the liquidation, with the central Europe Calvinist protestantism, so largely awarded after the end of war, as target. Following this hypothesis, having the Calvinists no more possible allies with whom to fight the religious aggression, they will remain alone in front of the teeth of Rome.

And all that recalls & smells of that Romish Slovenian-Serbian collaboration during the existence of the monarchic Yugoslavia, distinguishedly represented by the historical couple "Stojadinovic-Korosec" (*) (Serbian reserve on the bench: Cvetkovic "Fiorello" Dragisa). The central role of the Serbian Mafia in the sex scandal shaking a Swedish crown which lost any form of independence from Rome well before the discrete as well dissimulated collaboration with Roman Catholic Hitler, should make us to imagine not a classical gangster movie, but to an international spy movie. You cannot appreciate this side of the deal if you don't appreciate the image of that Serbia sitting in the waiting room where her loyalty is checked in order to be admitted as member of Eurogendfor:

Friday, November 05, 2010

Eurogendfor or the European/world wide Gestapo-Stasi-SS of the pope

"A gendarmerie or gendarmery (play /ɛnˈdɑrməri/ or /ʒɑːnˈdɑrməri/) is a military force charged with police duties among civilian populations. Members of such a force are typically called "gendarmes". The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary describes a gendarme as "a soldier who is employed on police duties" and a "gendarmery, -erie" as "gendarmes as a body". The term maréchaussée (or marshalcy) may also be used (e.g., Royal Marechaussee) but is now uncommon.....":

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gendarmerie

Therefore the question is: Militarization of Europe under the sign of the Roman Catholicization? Give a look at the unrest at the stadium of Genoa - was that a fruit of collaboration (a test) between (traitorous) Serbian and Italian intelligences?

http://vaticancrusadebalkans.blogspot.com/2011/06/19th-july-1937-bloody-procession-day-in.html
"..... The same document of minister Korosec demonstrates how the minister Janic criticizes the head of police Dragoslav Jovanovic, when he was released from the detention. "I never lifted my hands on someone else in my life, but I was beaten" (the alleged speaking MP is reporting here the words of minister Janic the same - avles). I am honoured of the Orthodox church etc. etc. (It follows lively signs of approval from the left side). The ones who must answer for their responsability are the minister Korosec and Stojadinovic, and the 1,500 Slovenian gendarmes coming from Kamenice, Slovenia. I am not interested in to obtain excusation from them, who arrived here in order to find a justification (evidently to attack Orthodox clergy – avles), but from Korosec and Stojadinovic who are the true responsible. (long lasting signs of approval from the left side – from the right the opposition of dr. Mirko Dosen which says that minister Dragisa Cvetkovic affirmed that all those declarations are lies). ..........".

An out-of-tune trumpet

Also Lutheran Protestant Prussia and Protestant Hohenzollern were 'protector' of the Roman Catholic church? (besides of course some dirty and hidden traitorous fornications...).

If the answer is "yes", of consequence (and for logic, because our Joyfully Trumpeters who, at least I suppose, are absolutely not-Lutheran one, will have nothing to say against the use of the Satan's prostitute....) it should require a minimum of efforts to explain to me and to a larger public why, after the fall of such powerful 'protector' of the Romish church ("Third Reich"), and the victory of the alleged most fierce enemy of the 'holy' See ("Western allies" under Eisenhower command), we not only didn't saw the destruction of the same church but, at the opposite, a very deep effort, by those alleged fierce enemies of papal Germany, in to sustain the Vatican in the Cold War (Hoax) and especially in the protection of the escaping Roman Catholic Nazis.

At the end of all a protector is a protector, and when he is no more such one, it means that, for an implacable logic existing in this universe, he doesn't protect anymore. Evidently, if the Antichrist in Rome could continue a comfortable life of expansionism around the world after that 8th May 1945, it means that the greatest threats against her existence have just been cancelled. Precisely with the end of the WWII.

Very lucky the sirs Gerald and Morley, who can earn the daily bread so easily with such light-heartedly articles.

The pope officially backed Croatia’s bid to enter the European Union on Saturday. The announcement, made en route to the Croatian capital city of Zagreb, highlights a disturbing Vatican history.

Speaking to reporters, Pope Benedict xvi said: “I think it is logical, just and necessary that [Croatia] enters.”

“Croatia is a nation at the heart of Europe, its history and its culture,” he said. “From its earliest days, your nation has formed part of Europe, and has contributed, in its unique way, to the spiritual and moral values that for centuries have shaped the daily lives and the personal and national identity of Europe’s sons and daughters.”

The pope then went on to give Croatia a mission. He told the nation of 89 percent Catholics to reverse the tide of secularism washing across the continent. “It seems to me that this aspect could be the very mission of this nation that joins now: to renew a unity within diversity. The European identity is an identity, precisely because of the richness of the different cultures which converge in the Christian faith and in the great Christian values,” he said.

Reinvigorating Europe’s Christian identity will require a “convinced witness and active dynamism aimed at promoting the fundamental moral values that underpin social living and the identity of the old continent,” he said.

But the pope’s enthusiastic support of Croatia belies some very disturbing recent history between the Vatican and the breakaway republic. This history is extremely important because it clearly illustrates who is dominating Europe and why it will not lead to peace.

In 1991, Germany recognized the Yugoslav breakaway states of Croatia and Slovenia. Almost immediately, the Vatican likewise recognized these sates. Germany and the Vatican did this despite the stated opposition of the United States, Britain, France, most of Europe and the United Nations—and knowing full well that it would mean the outbreak of a full-scale civil war and the disintegration of the nation of Yugoslavia.

Germany and the Vatican were opposed by virtually the whole world—yet they went ahead and ignited a civil war. Why would they do such a thing? It all goes back to World War ii.

In 1991, the New York Times wrote: “Germany has stirred troubling historical associations …. Nazi Germany dominated the two Yugoslav regions during World War ii, absorbing Slovenia into the Third Reich and creating a puppet regime in Croatia” (Dec. 16, 1991; emphasis mine throughout).

A December 8 New York Times article from the same year, titled “U.S. Is at Odds With German Backing for Slovenia and Croatia,” explained Germany’s historical ties with the Yugoslav “breakaway” republics:

Germany has long historical ties, both glorious and shameful, to Slovenia and Croatia. Slovenia was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, and many people there still identify with the German-speaking world. There has also been German influence in Croatia, and during World War ii, Croatia was ruled by a pro-Nazi regime.

This aspect of Croatian history, and the fact that the
Tudjman government has refused to disassociate itself from the Croatian fascists who ruled the republic in the 1940s, has made European leaders unwilling to move quickly toward recognition. German public opinion is strongly pro-Croatian and anti-Serbian.

As was the case with Germany, the Vatican too was deeply involved with the Nazi regimes in these regions.

As Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry brought out in 1999, Franjo Tudjman, Croatia’s leader at the time of its breakaway from Yugoslavia, was a Nazi sympathizer who refused to disassociate himself from the Croatian Nazis of Hitler’s day. This is a man who has written apologetics for concentration camps and forced extermination. He has publicly stated that his country was right for supporting Hitler. Yet Germany and the Vatican, and eventually the U.S., went on to support him.

“Isn’t it also disturbing that a Croatian leader who will not disassociate himself from the Croatian fascists or Nazis of the 1940s can be a respected leader in a Roman Catholic country?” asked Gerald Flurry. “If these people are good Roman Catholics, how can they still be fascists? Shouldn’t this strike us as rather alarming?”

If people truly understood history—especially German history—they would be alarmed at what has happened to the former Yugoslavia. In that 1999 article, Gerald Flurry continued:

How quickly the world has forgotten that Germany has historically considered it a primary duty to protect the Roman Catholic Church! During the various reigns of the Holy Roman Empire, they have felt it was their duty to enforce the church’s desires—good and bad. That helps us to understand why Germany will stand up against the European Community, the United Nations, the United States, and the entire world!

There is something very dark and sinister stirring in Europe. What is
now happening in Croatia is only a small sample of what is about to spread over the entire continent! This is the “straw that is going to stir the drink” to unify all of Europe. It will not be long before Europe is reunited as the Holy Roman Empire. It will be led very assertively by Germany.

Two republics now have their independence because of Germany and the pope. The
whole world would have been against the independence of these two republics had not Germany and the pope spoken out in support of them! That reveals a great deal about the power Germany has today. But more importantly, it projects where Germany and the Vatican are headed in the future!

Those who are watching Germany and the Vatican know that as a result of the current economic crisis, Europe has become a virtual colony of Germany—a modern-day Holy Roman Empire. It may still officially be a secular organization, but if the Vatican has its way, it won’t be for long.

Croatia’s entrance into the European Union would be the final culmination of a German-Vatican fait accompli. Germany’s old World War ii ally is about to enter the European Union. The EU will gain 4 million more Roman Catholics. And America’s betrayed World War ii Serbian allies will find themselves in a situation startlingly reminiscent of the 1940s.
